It's January: Why Aren't You Packing?

There's been nothing of note to report since December.  Just the usual loud-ish music and the banging around noises.  'Til tonight!

A very nice veteran (I see no reason to disbelieve him) knocked at our door shortly after we arrived home tonight--probably around 7PM.  He said he had been sent to our door by the "lady" at the front.  "(P)robably just being courteous," he observed.  I resisted the urge to say, "There's no courtesy from that one," or some such, but he was such a nice fellow.

My Sweetie just made the observation that sending solicitors to our door does NOT constitue leaving us alone.  Tsk, tsk, Effie.

I told the gentleman that while we don't accept door-to-door or telephone solicitations, I would be happy to look up his organization's website.  He had a little flyer ready -- it has the website, some basic information, and the organization's Tax ID Number (TIN).

All that aside, if the landlords were really serious about inviting Effie to live elsewhere sixty days after the notice, she should have been throwing some kind of extra temper tantrums.  And they promised to tell us when they told her so we could be extra vigilant for the safety of ourselves and their property.

No evidence of any kind of action on their part.  That we know of.  Staying tuned.
